The 2010 San Diego Chargers are back at Qualcomm Stadium. Qualcomm Stadium is a multiple-use stadium in San Diego, California. Its principal tenant is the San Diego Chargers of the NFL (and the San Diego State University Aztecs college football team). Built in 1967, expanded in 1984 and again in 1997, the place now holds 71,500 fans for football. Formerly known as San Diego Stadium, it was dubbed Jack Murphy Stadium in 1982, named after the beloved sports columnist who crusaded for a stadium that could help make San Diego a major league sports town. "The Murph" morphed yet again in 1997, when area corporate giant Qualcomm paid $18 million for 20 years of naming rights. There are about 8,000 club seats available at premium prices. And the most recent expansion brought the number of luxury boxes to 110. Season packages range from $240 to $350, while single-game tickets are priced from $29 to $32. The "Q" (a.k.a. "The Murph") is a little old, but it remains a San Diego concert and sports venue. In stadium fashion, it offers great concession-stand food and a plentiful number of bathrooms (52 for women, 44 for men, 2 unisex).
