The 2010 New York Islanders are back at Nassau Coliseum. The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, commonly known as Nassau Coliseum, is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Uniondale, New York. It is the long-time home of the NHL's New York Islanders (and the New York Dragons Arena Football League team). Opened in 1972, the Coliseum is also used for concerts, large exhibitions and shows of various kinds, as well as trade shows. It currently seats 16,234 for hockey, up to 17,760 for concerts and 17,686 for boxing and wrestling. Nassau Coliseum has the smallest capacity out of all the arenas in the NHL but because of its small capacity, lack of low-level luxury boxes, and fairly steep seating, the Coliseum has some of the best sight-line views in the NHL (except for the far upper deck, that is). The biggest mistake you could make is to purchase the rearmost seats there. While by far the least expensive, in this arena they are called the "cheap seats" for a reason. Ticket prices for the Coliseum are relatively inexpensive and you can often get discount coupons in the local papers and supermarkets.
